You walk among the headstones of souls gone from this life to visit one you once knew..an endurning family member or a friend you were so very close to..you find the resting place and pause as if frozen in time eternally gazing at the rock and the inscription which seems to unfocus before you..you continue to stand there oblivious to anything around you while memories come back of a time from a distant past of someone.. You see the name before you and the visions of a time gone by of someone and you together doing things you enjoyed doing but you do not seem to do anymore..your thoughts fade and you feel momentarily distracted by sounds around you and your eyes leave the stone and you turn to look about as you feel yourself coming out of your trance..the wind seems to have picked up as you feel it's coolness upon your face and then you feel the quickness of goosebumps come rapidly over you.. You see the braches of the nearby trees sway back and forth as if in a rythum with the wind which whistles a strange song as it moves around you..you notice the twilight and all around you everything is now darker in the light which is now void of any sunlight..shadows now meet your eyes and seem to jump out at you as the now grey landscape looms more mysterious all around you.. You feel a sudden bite of fear grip your heart which you now can hear and feel within your chest and without noticing you take a few steps back looking now more feveriously around and behind you..you stop as your thoughts return and you wonder how long you have been there but in a moment of panic you look about now wondering which way to go to leave for the memory now of how you got there seems to be a blur.. |

You decide now to walk ahead at a quick pace hoping to see something familiar..something you would have saw earlier but all around you seems to be a blur of more headstones sitting up staring at you as if to reach out for you..to stop you..and you feel more surrounded by them unable to leave them and you notice the twilight now seemingly heavy with darkness as you wonder what happened to the light that you were able to see so clearly with just moments earlier.. And now as you run with more effort around and past other gravesites you trip and fall over one..it's hard stone bringing you pain in your hip and legs as you fall to the ground..but you quickly get up with earnest ignoring the pain hoping to find your way but all you see are more shadows and what seem to be dark images of figures as you wonder if your eyes are playing tricks on you..and now you really start to feel lost as panic really consumes you and you run with more effort but just know you will not find your way past endless rows of burried souls.. And just as you think in the lingering light what may lie ahead and behind..you find yourself suddenly in the clutching arms of a strange soul who holds you close and smiles..and just as you feel relieved and safe you then see the fangs and feel the bite which is quickly followed by an aweful pain..and when you try to cry out there is only silence as you feel youself go limp and know you will struggle never more... |
